We are ecstatic to share that Nzinga Tull will be On-Ramps to Careers' Special Guest Speaker at the 2024 STEM Internship Celebration this October!
Nzinga Tull is a native Washingtonian, a graduate of the D.C. public school system and Spelman College, and a systems engineer with her family’s engineering firm, Jackson and Tull. She has been working with the NASA Goddard (Greenbelt, MD) Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Mission Operations Team since July 1998, supporting on-orbit activities and anomaly investigation as well as three Servicing Missions. She has represented the HST at various public forums, including 60 Minutes (CBS), A&E Network, and the HST 15th Anniversary Symposium. Tull believes deeply that broad access to progressive publications and to rigorous, culturally relevant, student-centered K-12 public education are critical for healthy communities.
When she isn’t wearing her “engineer” or “education advocate” hats, she enjoys studying and performing with KanKouran West African Dance Company.

Teddra Thomas Burgess
Managing Director, Federal Civilian, Google Public Sector

As the Managing Director of Federal Civilian at Google Public Sector, Teddra Burgess brings over 25 years of experience in delivering mission-critical outcomes for government and
commercial organizations globally. Teddra leads the charge in bringing cloud and AI technologies to federal civilian agencies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Her thought leadership on the Google for Government Summit stage has centered around expanding access through artificial intelligence and machine learning. Her leadership experience spans sales, engineering, business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, and operations.
Before joining Google Public Sector, Teddra served as senior vice president of Public Sector at Tanium, vice president of Federal at ASG Technologies, Chief Revenue Officer at Micro Focus Government Solutions along with senior leadership positions at HP and HPE. She has a proven track record of building high performing teams, fostering strategic partnerships and driving mission success in the public sector.
Teddra is passionate about improving the citizen experience through technology, access, inclusive leadership, and people empowerment. She has focused on leveraging technology to address the call for improved access, experience, and cybersecurity across Federal Civilian agencies.
Her commitment to inclusivity and public service access is also evident in her advocacy for women and people of color in technology. She is an independent angel investor with Pipeline Angels, BLXVC, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a founding member of the women’s network CHIEF in Washington, D.C.
Teddra’s contributions to outlets like Bloomberg and the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT) emphasize her focus on equitable access, cybersecurity, securing our nation’s critical infrastructure and ensuring citizen protections.
Throughout her career, Teddra has received numerous accolades, including being a four-time CRN Women of the Channel honoree, several quarterly and annual corporate sales awards, and industry recognition for her leadership by FedScoop, WashExec, and CHIEF. A life-long learner, she hails from George Mason University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University. Teddra resides in Aldie, VA with her family.

Nina Albert
Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DC DMPED)
Nina M. Albert serves as the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for the District of Columbia in the Mayor Bowser Administration. In this role, Nina assists the Mayor in the coordination, planning, supervision, and execution of economic development efforts in the District of Columbia with the goal of creating and preserving affordable housing, creating jobs, and increasing tax revenue. Nina brings 20 years of experience in public real estate strategy, public-private partnership negotiations, economic revitalization and sustainable development.
Prior to joining the District of Columbia, Nina served as the Commissioner of the Public Buildings Service at the General Services Administration (GSA). Appointed to the role by President Biden’s Administration, she led the agency responsible for construction and maintenance of 370 million square feet portfolio nationwide. In this role, she developed strategies to evolve workspace for 1.1 million federal employees to respond to hybrid work and optimize the federal real estate portfolio, including the plans and strategies for achieving net zero operations across the portfolio.
She has served as Vice President of Real Estate and Parking at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority where she managed a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio. At the District Department of Environment she led design and development of a first-of-its-kind $250 million energy efficiency financing program targeting commercial and multi-family property owners and as Anacostia Waterfront Initiative Manager she oversaw a $1.3 billion redevelopment project (known now as The Wharf).
A visionary leader with a win/win negotiation style and a proven track record of innovation, sustainability and using public real estate to support communities and economic development, Nina prioritizes collaboration conversations, fosters a diverse culture of high performers and encourages growth mindset and creative ideas.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration and of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. A military veteran, Nina served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant and Company Executive Officer of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. She is a native Washingtonian, a foodie, and an avid traveler who seeks to discover new parts of the world any chance she gets.
