Teddra Thomas Burgess

As the Managing Director of Federal Civilian at Google Public Sector, Teddra Burgess brings over 25 years of experience in delivering mission-critical outcomes for government and
commercial organizations globally. Teddra leads the charge in bringing cloud and AI technologies to federal civilian agencies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Her thought leadership on the Google for Government Summit stage has centered around expanding access through artificial intelligence and machine learning. Her leadership experience spans sales, engineering, business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, and operations.
Before joining Google Public Sector, Teddra served as senior vice president of Public Sector at Tanium, vice president of Federal at ASG Technologies, Chief Revenue Officer at Micro Focus Government Solutions along with senior leadership positions at HP and HPE. She has a proven track record of building high performing teams, fostering strategic partnerships and driving mission success in the public sector.
Teddra is passionate about improving the citizen experience through technology, access, inclusive leadership, and people empowerment. She has focused on leveraging technology to address the call for improved access, experience, and cybersecurity across Federal Civilian agencies.
Her commitment to inclusivity and public service access is also evident in her advocacy for women and people of color in technology. She is an independent angel investor with Pipeline Angels, BLXVC, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a founding member of the women’s network CHIEF in Washington, D.C.
Teddra’s contributions to outlets like Bloomberg and the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT) emphasize her focus on equitable access, cybersecurity, securing our nation’s critical infrastructure and ensuring citizen protections.
Throughout her career, Teddra has received numerous accolades, including being a four-time CRN Women of the Channel honoree, several quarterly and annual corporate sales awards, and industry recognition for her leadership by FedScoop, WashExec, and CHIEF. A life-long learner, she hails from George Mason University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University. Teddra resides in Aldie, VA with her family.
