On-Ramps STEM Intern Program
Internship areas of focus
On-Ramps STEM Intern Program provides summer technology internships and training to students in Washington, DC. We currently work with administration and staff at seven Washington DC public and public charter schools, including: Anacostia, Cardozo, Dunbar, Friendship Collegiate Academy, HD Woodson, McKinley Technology, Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering, and Wilson High School to recruit DC students and alumni interested in pursuing technology related careers.
Students participate in pre-internship trainings such as resume building, interview preparation, communication skills. Students interview with our employer partners and are matched with companies based on their current skills and careers interests. During their six-week internships students are supported by On-Ramps staff with additional trainings, site visits and check-ins.
